WHY “SAND IN MY LENS”?

  COLETTEMAGAZINEUSA.COM! PGS. 74-75.

As a fashion photographer who got started primarily shooting models on the beach, I was always checking out my lenses for loose flying sand particles, and occasionally finding one. And the double meaning couldn’t be more obvious. I’m working with some top local designers in Miami–emerging and established.

More on me:

WHAT ELSE DO I SHOOT?   EVENTS, ARCHITECTURE AND OCCASIONALLY SPORTS

WHERE AM I BASED? South Florida is my stomping grounds. Ft. Lauderdale is my base, but my area of operation covers from W. Palm Beach to Miami Beach.

CREDITS: Natural Muscle Magazine, Keller Williams Realty, Sex Drive Energy Drink.

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR MODELS? The striking models you see here on these pages were contacted for the most part through personal connections and Model Mayhem (www.modelmayhem.com). Some are new, some have plenty of experience. I’ve also worked with a couple I found through networking events. They are Latino, American, Russian and Italian.

WHAT EVENTS DO YOU SHOOT?  I find this area of South Florida to be rife with charity events for all sorts of causes. Highly publicized, I market myself to these groups and charge less than what I normally would. I’ve worked with:

1) The Little Lighthouse Foundation (Hearts and Stars gala).                                                   2) The Elastic Mind Project.                                                                                                                                                                                               3) Haitian Earthquake Relief benefit (The Wallenstein Orchestra and the Aventura Arts Center).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     4) The Lupus Foundation.

That’s it for my professional background. As for myself and my long-term personal goals, I will explore, create, recreate, improvise, stimulate and strive to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
